As Principal of EtonHouse Dalian, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school.
We are based in the beautiful city of Dalian, and as a school and community we never miss the opportunity to celebrate our host country and city. However, we are a fully international school with students, parents and teachers drawn from all around the world. Our students are enthusiastic and motivated. They show pride in their school and commitment to their studies, and are always a joy to be around. Our teaching staff is experienced and qualified. Each and every teacher works tirelessly in support of the students in their care. Our local administrative staff ensure that communication between the school and the community is strong, clear and effective. We value particularly value our parents’ involvement in our school, and we ensure that all developments in the school are communicated to them in open and transparent ways. They are always supportive of their children and the school, and they frequently give significant amounts of their time and energy to support school initiatives.
This is an exciting time for our school. We have been in existence since 2018 and, having established ourselves, we are now embarking on the next phase of our development. As with our sister schools in the EtonHouse family, we aim to become authorised as an IB World School by the prestigious International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO). Our educational values of inquiry-based learning that places the student at the centre of the proves, already reflect the IBO’s principles and practices. We are now working hard to develop a rigorous curriculum from age 2 to 18 that fully demonstrates these values. With that in place, we will be ready to apply for Candidate Status as an IB World School, first for the IB Primary Years Programme, and subsequently as an IB Diploma School.
I hope this introduction has given you a glimpse of the uniqueness of the EtonHouse Dalian community. If you are considering joining us and would like to learn more, please make an appointment to visit the school. I look forward to meeting you.
